These look like they must have been inspired by West African women’s headgear. I think it is Junya that had a collection with Ankara and batik prints?Junya Watanabe FW 2008

Man, Yohji’s outfit is so nice. Love the touch with the pocket square.
Great choice of beard too.
Overall I really liked this collection. Yohji seems to be having a lot of fun and while it is definitely disjointed and a bit crazy, I think it works. Both for having a lot of manic energy from the styling and for having some really nice looking pieces throughout. Definitely picking up wrap skirt, apron and jumpsuit and possibly lace bottom pants (look like new iteration of ronin pants from SS08).
Looking forward to the video. Very interested in what could be going on behind all these outfits as well.
Twists at Celine
Céline, SS13, Paris.
The Céline collection for Spring-Summer 2013 combined texture plays with slouched silhouettes to create garments that felt simultaneously luxurious and effortless. There was a certain gravity to the collection, created in no small part through the use of large twists that folded heavy satins across the body.
